One suspect died as Search Warrant in San Juan yields Illegal Firearms and Ammunitions

The serving of search warrant by the joint members of Provincial Intelligence Unit, SWAT-BPPO, 403rd A MC-RMFB4A, NISGSL, RIU4A-PIT Batangas, RSOU4A, 733rd CS, 730th CG, MIG4 and San Juan MPS ended in armed encounter leaving the armed suspect dead in Sitio Lipote, Brgy. Bulsa, San Juan, Batangas.

The operatives served the search warrant at about 5:00 AM today, May 4, 2020. During the execution of the search warrant, the operatives encountered the armed suspect who immediately sensed the said operation, ran outside his house and fired. These prompted police operatives to return fire thereby hitting the said subject. Suspect sustained gunshot wound that resulted to his instantaneous death SOCO assistance was requested for the conduct technical crime processing and Autopsy Examination to the cadaver of the victim.

Recovered pieces of evidence were:

  1. one (1) piece of maroon tactical body bag taped;
  2. one (1) unit of revolver caliber 38 (Smith and Wesson without serial number) loaded with 5 pieces of live ammunition of caliber .38;
  3. one (1) unit rifle caliber 22 without serial number;
  4. one (1) piece white small plastic container containing two (2) pieces of live ammunition of caliber .22
  5. one (1) of caliber colt .45 defaced serial number with loaded on barrel with magazine contain one (1) cartridge and five (5) fired cartridge cases of caliber .45; and
  6. one (1) fired cartridge case of caliber .9mm.

 

On the other hand, two drug personalities were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by Batangas CPS Drug Enforcement Unit at about 5:15 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2020 in Brgy. Sta Clara, Batangas City yielded P442K worth of shabu/ more or less 65grams of shabu.

 

Suspects were identified as Leonides Yap y Chong @Yap (newly identified drug personality and Salem Lumayun y Ginto @ master (previously arrested for the same offense). Confiscated from their possession were two (2) pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu wrapped on silver duct tape, one (1) eye glass pouch and five (5) pieces of Php 1000.00 peso bill recovered money and one (1) Nokia cellular phone.
