Batangas PNP Campaign against Illegal Drugs Continues Despite Disaster

Despite disaster brought by Taal Volcano eruption last January 12, 2020, the campaign against illegal drugs of the Batangas Police Provincial Office continues. The 436 anti-illegal drugs operations (January 1, 2020 – March 3, 2020) consisting of buy-bust operations, implementation of Search Warrants and other police operations resulted in the arrest of 528 drug suspects, confiscation of illegal drugs with an estimated Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of Php 6,231,166.60. Meanwhile, three drug personalities died during operations.

On the other hand, a new wave of surprise random drug test among members of Drug Enforcement Unit of local police stations was conducted on March 3, 2020 at Camp Gen. Miguel C.Malvar, Batangas City.

“We will continue to perform our mandate within the bounds of the law to include police officers who are allegedly involved in illegal drugs. This Office strongly support the PNP internal cleansing as well as discipline and professionalism among our uniformed personnel.
